Some people now ask AI apps like ChatGPT where to go. If the pages these apps read do not list you clearly, they may name someone else. You cannot control what an AI app says. But you can make the right facts about you easy to find.

Lakshmi runs a beauty parlour. A customer told her, "I asked ChatGPT for a good parlour near me. It named two others."

Lakshmi had a Google listing and a website. But her website did not say her area. And a booking site the app read did not list her at all.

This is an example, with a made up name and business.

What a Pulse check shows you

Pulse asks AI apps the kind of questions your customers ask. Your results show:

  • how many answers named you,
  • who they named instead,
  • which pages the apps used for their answers.

Sometimes an app uses your own page but still does not name your shop. Check that your page says clearly which shop and area it is.

Fix it yourself

  1. Look at the pages the apps used. Your Pulse results list them. They may be directories, booking sites or review sites.
  2. Get listed on those pages. If a booking or directory site was used and you are not on it, think about listing your shop there. Our guide on getting listed on apps shows how.
  3. Keep your name, address and phone the same everywhere. Mixed details can confuse AI apps. See same details on every app.
  4. Say where you are on your own website. Put your shop name, area and city near the top. Add your hours and phone.
  5. Add a short questions and answers part to your website. Answer what customers ask you on the phone.
  6. Check your Google category and map pin. See choosing the right category and fixing a wrong map pin.
  7. Keep asking every customer for a review. Reviews tell apps and people what you do well.

Our guide does ChatGPT recommend your business shows how to test this on your own phone.

Common questions

Can someone make ChatGPT name my shop?

No. Nobody can promise that, and you should not trust anyone who does. AI apps decide on their own.

How long does it take?

It can take weeks or more. AI apps do not read every page every day.

Should I pay for fake reviews to help?

Never. Fake reviews can get your listing in trouble. Real reviews from real customers are the only safe way.
