Some reviews near you say a place is too small, too hot or hard to find. Then customers want to see a place before they come. If your space is comfortable, show it. Add new photos of your shop front, inside and seating to your listing.
Arjun runs a coaching centre on the first floor of a building. Reviews of centres nearby said "classroom too small" and "no fan, very hot".
Arjun's rooms are airy, with fans and good light. But his listing only had a photo of the signboard.
He added photos of his classroom, the stairs and the entrance. Parents could now see the rooms before they came.
This is an example, with a made up name and business.
Fix it yourself
- Check your own reviews first. If your customers also complain about the space, fix what you can first.
- Tidy up, then shoot in daylight. Open windows, switch on lights, clear the floor.
- Show the front. A clear photo of your entrance and signboard helps people find you.
- Show the inside. Seating, waiting area, counters, fans or AC if you have them.
- Show the way in. If you are upstairs or inside a building, add a photo of the stairs or lift.
- Add the photos to your listing. Our guide on adding photos to your Google listing shows how.
- Add a profile and cover photo. See our Google listing checklist.
Rules to keep
- Use only photos of your own place.
- Do not use wide angle tricks to make it look bigger.
- Never say another place is cramped.
Common questions
My shop is small. Should I still show it?
Yes. Small and clean is fine. People mind surprises more than size.
Should I show people in the photos?
Only with their OK. Empty, tidy rooms work well too.
Will these photos bring more customers?
Nobody can promise that. They help a customer know what to expect.
