Add your services and products to your Google listing, so customers don't have to call and ask

Many shop listings on Google say only one line about what the shop does. Customers want to know more before they call. Some call and ask. Many do not call at all. They pick a shop whose listing already answers. Add your services and products to your listing. It takes about twenty minutes.

Ganesh runs an AC repair shop. His Google listing says only "AC repair". His phone rings all day with the same questions. "Do you fix split ACs?" "Do you service fridges?" "What does a gas refill cost?"

Those are the customers who call. Others search "split AC service near me", see his listing, and still do not know if he does it. So they tap the shop next door, whose listing shows "Split AC service, from ₹500" and a photo of the work.

Scan your business. See how visible you are online. Do customers nearby find you, or the shop next door? Check your online visibility with Viabe Pulse. In minutes, not days.

Step 1: open your services list

  1. Open your Google listing (search your shop name on Google, or open the Google Business Profile app).
  2. Tap Edit profile.
  3. Look for Services. Some shops also see Products.
  4. Google may suggest some services for your type of business. Tick the ones you really do.

Step 2: add your own services

Add each thing you do as its own service. Not one line for everything.

For Ganesh, that means: split AC service, window AC service, AC gas refill, AC installation, fridge repair, washing machine repair.

For each one:

  1. Write the name in plain words. Use the words customers type, like "AC gas refill", not "refrigerant recharge".
  2. Add a short description. One or two lines. What you do, and which brands or sizes.
  3. Add a starting price if you want to. "From ₹500" is enough. If the price changes a lot, you can leave it out.

Step 3: add products, if you sell things

If you sell items, like AC stands, stabilisers or remotes, add them under Products with a photo, a name and a short line. A customer can see what you keep before coming to the shop.

Step 4: add photos of real work

Add photos that match your services. A split AC being cleaned. A fridge you repaired. Your van outside a customer's building. Real photos of your own work, not pictures from the internet.

Step 5: answer common questions in your description

Your business description is a good place for the questions you hear every day. For example: "We repair and service split and window ACs, fridges and washing machines. All brands. We come to your home in Andheri, Jogeshwari and Goregaon."

Short, plain, and true.

Step 6: keep it updated

Once a month, open your listing and read it like a customer. Did you start a new service? Did a price change? Did you stop doing something? Fix it the same day.

Ganesh now spends ten minutes on his listing on the first Sunday of every month. His listing finally says what his shop really does.
